Description
Grammarly is a well-known tool for real-time correction of grammar, spelling and text readability as-you-type. Grammarly integrates onto the system in various ways; including a Chrome extension for testing text right within the browser, a desktop application for Mac and MS word, and an online web app.
The basic Chrome extension is free of charge and offers correction of 150 common & critical mistakes while the premium version is more comprehensive and corrects >250 errors and more complex corrections.
Grammarly is a perfect tool for scientists since it has several built-in types of academic document styles to which it adapts the writing style. Additionally, it has an option to alert the user of non-original text that might have been copied from the literature or online pages - a great feature for grading essays and exercises.
