NCG (V5) collects 1,571 cancer genes from different sources:

1. Cancer Gene Census (CGC).
2. Screenings of predefined gene panels.
3. Whole-exome sequencing (WES) of cancer samples.
4. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of cancer samples.

For each cancer gene, NCG provides information on:

evolutionary appearance
protein-protein interactions
miRNA-gene interactions
functional properties
gene expression
